Guided Sightseeing Tour of Florence

Let us take you on an intriguing walking tour of Florence, describing the living history that lies beyond every street and piazza, with a particular focus on the times of the Renaissance, whose heritage will reveal itself through several important monuments along the route.

You will have the chance to admire the impressive Palazzo Strozzi and its perfectly preserved courtyard, then the tour will guide you to Palazzo Davanzati, a perfect example of Medieval Palace off the usual touristic track. After a walk by the Porcellino (little pig) market, our tour reaches to Ponte Vecchio, the most ancient and famous bridge in Florence, dating back to the middle ages.

As you enjoy the astonishing view of the surrounding hills, be engaged by an in-depth discussion over the history of both the bridge and the Vasari Corridor, which led to dramatic changes for the shops (botteghe) located on the bridge.

The tour proceeds to Piazza della Signoria, the political centre of Florence, with the Uffizi Art Gallery on the river side, a palace that once hosted the Grand Duke’s Offices, and Palazzo Vecchio on the other side, the historic seat of the Florentine government.

The Porcellino lucky charm

The Porcellino lucky charm

Take a close look at the tower-houses of the 1300’s in a lovely stroll through the oldest part of town, and then, all of sudden, the narrow streets will open onto Piazza Duomo, where you will be pleased by the impressive Cathedral of Florence and its one-of-a-kind marble decorations. Up above, the Brunelleschi Dome, an architectural masterpiece and a symbol of both Florence and the Renaissance as a whole, with its unbelievable design, a construction challenge for that time.

Our tour ends by the Baptistry and its marvellous Porta del Paradiso and nearby Giotto’s bell tower, a great example of medieval architecture. .
